Panleukopenia (Feline Distemper)
Also known as feline distemper, it's a condition caused by a virus.
Adult cats are not as vulnerable to this disease as small kittens.
Contaminated food, water, and litter boxes are all ways for this illness to spread.
A cat with this condition may appear lazy and refuse to eat or drink.
It will have a lot of diarrhoea and vomiting.
Due to dehydration, the skin will get dry, and the fur will fall off.
It is critical to take your pet to the veterinarian as soon as you notice any of these symptoms.
To treat secondary infections, the veterinarian may do a white blood count and prescribe medications.
The feline distemper virus is not treatable with treatment.
Many cats are unable to fight the illness and succumb to it.
A vaccination can, however, protect your cat from panleukopenia.
When your kitten is a kitten, be sure you vaccinate it.
