Ear Infections
Ear infections are probably the most common dog ailments, as they afflict both indoor dogs and outdoor dogs.
Ear mites, yeast, germs, ear canal hair growth, allergies, colds, and other factors are the most common causes.
The symptoms of ear infections include extensive ear scratching, head trembling, vulnerability and sobbing when touched on the ear, redness of the ear canal, swelling of the ear's outer parts, and crying. If your dog displays these signs, you have every right to assume an ear infection.Use a cotton ball (not a Q-Tip) and a gentle nonalcoholic cleaning solution to clean the ear.
While avoiding ear infections rather than treating them is preferable, you should always consult a veterinarian to check the situation since ear infections can progress to more severe health issues.
